Santa Clarita Girl Looks for Donations

Madison Martinez selected to participate in UCI BMX Championships

Santa Clarita Resident, seven year old, Madison Martinez has been selected by the USACycling Organization to represent Team USA at the 2007 UCI BMX World Championships in Victoria, BC. Canada. As a member of Team USA, Madison will be competing against riders from across the world.

The UCI BMX World Championships is an event sponsored by the UCI, the sports international governing body. The UCI BMX World Championships are held annually and the winner of each event is crowned the BMX World Champion.

As the sport evolves to its new Olympic status, the 2007 Championships will be one of the most important championships ever. Results in Victoria will helpdetermine country rankings and athlete participation numbers for the sport's Olympic debut inBeijing in 2008.

Madison is looking for donations to help with her entry fees and travel expenses as she travels to Canada to compete against riders from around the world with hopes ofthe UCI World Champion.
