Los Angeles County Public Health officials are hoping to contact a local man who handled a rabies-infested bat in the parking lot of Bristol Farms in Valencia last week, according to True Pawluck with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health.

Now health officials want to test the man for rabies, because if he has contracted the disease it could prove fatal if not treated.
Pawluck told KHTS that the man is described as Caucasian, in his 40’s with a mustache or goatee, and he was last seen driving a late 90’s dark blue Chevy Silverado.
If you know this man, County health officials ask that he call one of the following numbers immediately:
Acute Communicable Disease Control Unit – (213) 240-7941
Veterinary Public Health – (562) 401-7088
