Santa Clarita Master Chorale Presents Cabaret And Cabernet Event

rodgers_hammersteinThe Santa Clarita Master Chorale is presenting an evening of Rodgers and Hammerstein show tunes as part of their annual benefit event called Cabaret and Cabernet.

The event will include appetizers during a silent auction, a buffet dinner, Cabernet, and solo and duet performances by the Chorale of popular show tunes by Rodgers and Hammerstein.

Song performances to be included at Cabaret and Cabernet will be  “Oh What A Beautiful Morning” from “Oklahoma,” “Some Enchanted Evening” from “South Pacific,” “My Favorite Things” from “The Sound of Music,” and more.

“Rodgers and Hammerstein have produced fantastic music that most people are familiar with,” said Marybeth Margrave, the event producer. “The songs are sing-able and they evoke good memories for the audience.”

Singing show tunes in a choral setting may seem like quite a challenge but Margrave says that though it is a different approach, the Chorale will still deliver a strong performance sure to please the crowd.

Cabaret and Cabernet will be held on Nov. 14 at 6 p.m. in the Grand Hall at the Hyatt Regency in Valencia. Tickets are $100 for adults and $50 for children ages 12 and under. Tickets for a table for two in the front row are $250.

For tickets to this event, call the Master Chorale at (661) 254-8886.
