Mayor Bob Kellar will address upcoming city projects that are scheduled to take place this year in the Saugus community as well as discussing a few recent accomplishments.

After the meeting, questions and concerns will be addressed by the mayor and other elected city councilmembers, the city manager and assistant city manager, commissioners, volunteers and other city staff.

This event is free and open to the public.  It is the third of four town hall meetings scheduled in each of the four communities in Santa Clarita.

Each program begins with an overview of upcoming projects in the City, specifically in the individual communities where the meetings are hosted.

Following a brief presentation by the mayor, several tables are available with information and city staff to discuss a wide variety of issues, projects and programs in an informal setting.

The final Town Hall Meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. atValencia Valley Elementary School, located at 23601 Carrizo Drive.

Here’s a look at what happened at a previous Town Hall by Kellar. Kellar said previous town hall meetings have been encouraging, and he’s enjoyed a lot of interaction with his constiuents.

“I thought the meeting went very well, we have a lot of positive interaction,” he said. “I think our question-and-answer session went about 45 minutes. I hope the other two are just as successful.”

“There was a broad range of questions, a couple having to do with some issues of public safety — (Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station) Capt. Paul Becker was there to answer questions, too,” he said.

The last town hall will be held in Valencia on Wednesday, May 8, at 7 p.m. at Valencia Valley Elementary School, which is located at 23601 Carrizo Drive.
