“I believe she’s here through mid-January,” said Eric Harnish, spokesman for College of the Canyons, adding “she’s pursuing other opportunities.”

Warshawski plans to stay with the Santa Clarita PAC until the start of next year, and the dean of the fine and performing arts, Carmen Cortez Dominguez, will take on the responsibility until a permanent replacement is found, Harnish said.

In March 2013, Warshawski took over for former PAC managing director Adam Philipson, who resigned in September 2012 to become CEO of the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank, N.J., according to a COC news release announcing her hire.

“Evy’s done a fantastic job here. This is the 10th anniversary of the PAC,” Harnish said, “we’ve had a lot of fantastic performances and big names that have been here this season.”
