The Santa Clarita Valley Family YMCA  hosted their annual Healthy Kids Day Expo May 2, where families enjoyed games, crafts, children’s performances, rock climbing, obstacles courses, and human hamster balls, said event officials.1

“The whole family is invited to get healthy together,” said event officials. “Immediately after the run be sure to join us for our free Health Expo featuring local healthy business vendors, a rock climbing wall, inflatable obstacle courses, human hamster balls, performances by local children’s groups, emergency vehicles, blood donation, and more.”

Event officials also kicked off all of the YMCA summer programs and registering for summer day camp, specialty camps, teen camp and resident camp.

Residents were able to take part in the emergency vehicles, Red Cross Blood mobile, and local vendors, said event officials.

Santa Clarita residents having heroic amounts of fun Saturday, as they completed a superhero challenge course at the YMCA Healthy Kids Day.A new event added this year was a Super Hero Family Fun Run, said event officials. There was a $25 registration fee per runner, with all proceeds being donated to the YMCA.
