Amgen Tour Of California 2014 Announces Women’s Time Trial

2014 Amgen Tour of California has announced that there will be a women’s circuit race and time trial that will be held within the first couple of days of this legendary race.

Amgen Tour Of California In Santa ClaritaThe race takes place on May 11, starting out in Sacramento and ending May 18 in Thousand Oaks. The Amgen Tour will also bless Santa Clarita with the presence of the most celebrated athletes on May 16 and 17.

Amgen Tour will be making race history because for the first time, professional women cyclists will compete in a circuit race and time trial.

The women will have the opportunity to showcase their power and technique by competing in a 4-corner, 1.25 mile circuit course in Sacramento. The winner of this race will receive a prize of $10,000.

The time trial will take place the next day, May 12, in the gold rush town of Folsom. This invitation- only race will also include a $10,000 prize.
