A tight game all even at 26-26 going into halftime, the Wildcats found their offensive rhythm and shot lights out to pull away from the Grizzlies and move to 3-2 in league play.

Austin Galuppo followed up his strong fourth quarter last Friday with a game-high 20 points, while teammate Andrew Austin was right behind him with 19 points of his own. Colt Cangemi of Golden Valley hit six 3-pointers to lead his team with 18 points.

“This is the closest team chemistry wise, I’ve ever been on. We already know going in we don’t have to warm up to each other because we already know what we do best,” Galuppo said following his strong performance.

The win puts West Ranch in 3-way tie for second place in the foothill league standings with Hart and Saugus.

West Ranch will next take on Canyon in a home matchup on Friday. Golden Valley will take on Hart on the road on Friday. Tip off for both games will be at 6:30.
