Canyon Boys Basketball Team Sees Winning Streak Come To An End

sportscanyonThe Canyon boys basketball team had its six-game winning streak snapped, 47-45, to Highland last night. Wesley Bartole scored a team-high 13 points for Canyon.

The Canyon boys, off to a great 8-3 start, have a bit of a break. They will begin play in the Ventura Tournament the day after Christmas.

 

The Hart boys basketball team got a rude awakening against El Camino Real, losing 74-36. Roman Delgado scored 24 points for Hart, meaning the rest of the team combined for 12 points.

The Hart girls soccer team ran its unbeaten streak to six games and remain undefeated with a 2-1 win over Notre Dame. Katie Trevino scored the game-winner and Megan Indermill got Hart on the scoreboard with a goal in the first half. Hart is 4-0-2 and will play Ventura in the Buena Tournament this weekend.

It will be a busy day in soccer for a number of teams from Santa Clarita. The Santa Clarita Christian boys travel to play Mojave. Golden Valley is on the road against Alemany and Saugus plays at Chaminade.

The Santa Clarita Christian girls take on Mojave, the Saugus girls are at Chaminade and Canyon hosts Lancaster.
