Girls basketball crown to be decided tonigt between Saugus and Valencia.
The Foothill League champion in girls soccer will be decided this afternoon when Canyon and Valencia meet in the regular season finale.

In girls basketball, Saugus and Valencia have identical 7-2 league records and are tied for first in the Foothill League standings.
Valencia kept its league championship hopes alive by beating Golden Valley on Tuesday night. Saugus could have wrapped up the league title on Tuesday, but lost to Canyon. The Foothill League season ends today with Saugus facing Hart and Valencia visiting Canyon.
On the boys side, Golden Valley has already made school history by winning its first Foothill League championship. The Grizzlies can do no worse than finish in a tie for first in league with Hart. Golden Valley faces West Ranch and Hart takes on Saugus in the Foothill League season finales tonight.
In college basketball, the College of the Canyons women’s team won its 10th straight game, downing West LA College, 103-79. Ashley Wakefield scored 30 points and had 15 rebounds for COC, which improved to 20-8 overall and 9-0 in the Western State Conference standings. The Lady Cougars are in first place in conference and play L.A.Valley College on Saturday.
La Cresha Clark, an All-State basketball player for the COC, will be inducted into the Lady Cougar Hall of Fame on Saturday night during halftime.
In college baseball, The Master’s College beat Azusa Pacific, 3-1. Joe Zeller pitched a complete game and drove in two runs for The Master’s College, which improved to 9-2.
The College of the Canyons lost to Hancock College 11-8.
