College of the Canyons athletics department officials are inviting all players, coaches and cheerleaders associated with a Santa Clarita Valley youth sports league or cheer organization to attend this Saturday’s Cougar football game free of charge.

College of the Canyons will host Grossmont College with kickoff scheduled for 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at Cougar Stadium.

Players, coaches and cheerleaders who arrive at Cougar Stadium wearing their team’s respective jersey, uniform or team colors will be admitted into the game for free, officials said.

“We would like to show our appreciation for the tremendous amount of fan support we receive each season by inviting the SCV’s next generation of collegiate student-athletes to come out and experience Cougar football,” said COC head football coach Ted Iacenda.

The invite is extended to all local teams, leagues, organizations including elementary school, junior high, high school programs, parks, recreation leagues, youth/pop warner football, youth cheerleading, AYSO/club soccer, club volleyball, basketball, little league baseball/softball, swimming and track and field.

General admission tickets are $5 and Kids are10 and under are free.
