COC Men’s Basketball Team Takes Down Cuesta College

The College of the Canyons men’s basketball team beat Cuesta College, 74-66, in a Western State Conference North Division game in San Luis Obispo.

The Cougars improved to 3-1 in the North Division standings. They are 9-8 overall.

College of the Canyons Sports

The College of the Canyons women’s basketball team beat Cuesta College, 84-82. COC led 37-35 at halftime.

The Lady Cougars improved to 8-11 overall and evened their record at 2-2 in the Western State Conference North Division.

In football, Caylin Hauptmann is headed to the Super Bowl with the Seattle Seahawks. Hauptmann, an offensive lineman with the Seahawks, played his freshman season at College of the Canyons.

He went on to play at Florida International University and joined the Seahawks as a free agent in September. He started his NFL career as an undrafted free agent with the Cleveland Browns.

The Seahawks plays the Denver Broncos in the Super Bowl on Feb. 2.

Los Angeles Sports Report

In the NBA, the Clippers lost to the Charlotte Bobcats, 95-91, on the road. The Clippers are 2-2 on their current seven-game roadie.

They will be in Chicago for a game against the Bulls on Friday night.

In the NHL, the Kings take on the Anaheim Ducks tonight at the Honda Center.

The Kings have lost three games in a row. They are coming off a 5-3 loss against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
