Dodgers Look To Rebound With Yu Darvish On The Bump In Game Three

The Dodgers are in Houston for the weekend, with Games 3-5 of the World Series against the Astros taking place at Minute Maid Park. First pitch of Game Three is tonight at 5:20 PM PST.

With the shocking extra innings 7-6 defeat in Game Two now firmly in the rear view mirror, the Dodgers look ahead to a crucial Game Three that can make or break this series; subsequently, being in Houston is really good news for the Dodgers, because they have Yu Darvish on the mound.

Darvish, who came to Los Angeles via trade from the Texas Rangers late in the season, has spent his MLB career pitching against the Astros in the AL West. In six career starts at Minute Maid Park in Houston, the right-hander is 4-1 with a 2.16 ERA.

In fact, in 2013, the Japanese international had one of the most memorable games of his career; 14 strikeouts, no walks and one hit. That hit came with the two outs in the ninth inning, ending his perfect game in dramatic fashion.

Darvish’s comfort inside Minute Maid Park will come in handy to quiet a deafening crowd. The last time the World Series was in Houston, the Chicago White Sox won both games to complete a sweep.

Tune in to KHTS AM 1220 tonight starting at 5:00, where you can find complete coverage of the World Series on your Dodgers station.
