Dodgers Sweep Series, Beat Cubs Saturday Night, 3-1

The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Chicago Cubs in Game 3 of their Division Series on Saturday Night 3-1.

It's the first time the Dodgers have advanced in the playoffs in twenty years, since 1988.

The Dodgers swept the Chicago Cubs, winning all three games in their best of five series. The last time the Dodgers swept a playoff series was forty-five years ago with Sandy Koufax and crew, when the Dodgers swept the New York Yankees in the 1963 World Series, 4-0.

On Saturday night, Hiroki Kuroda pitched 6 1/3 scoreless innings and James Loney and Russell Martin drove in runs to provide the victory.

Los Angeles now heads to the NLCS to take on the winner of the series between the Philadelphia Phillies and the Milwaukee Brewers. Philly leads that series 2-1.
