Buckle Up Because League Play Is About To Take Flight
High school basketball has been underrated in the SCV. Of all the high school team sports, basketball pays dividends the quickest. We wait patiently for our All-Americans in football and baseball to pay their dues in the college game and the minors, respectively, a la Jamie Shields and Kyle Boller. Granted, SCV basketball hasn’t produced historically, but as the NBA gets younger and younger, watching a high school game could pay off in one day saying, “I saw that kid play in high school!”
While we were all hosting holiday feasts and sharing in yule tidings, the players have been streaking the hardwood in the first half of the season. So with our bellies filled with food and our attention no longer on party guests, it’s the perfect time to get into SCV basketball with league play just around the corner.
Last year Hart won the league but at this point in the season every team has an opportunity and the talent to hold the title this year. Here’s an effort to get you updated on the SCV basketball picture
