In high school basketball, Golden Valley got 29 points from Maverick Ahanmisi in a 69-56 win over Valencia on Tuesday night. With the win, Golden Valley clinched at least a share of the Foothill League championship, the first in school history.

In other games Tuesday night, Hart needed overtime to beat West Ranch 60-53 and Canyon topped Saugus 76-53.
Hart is a game back of Golden Valley and can still capture a share of the Foothill League championship. Hart plays Saugus and Golden Valley plays West Ranch on Thursday. Golden Valley can with the Foothill League championship outright with a win over West Ranch.
On the girls side, Canyon pulled a surprise win over Foothill League leading Saugus, 60-53. Valencia beat Golden Valley 72-39 and Hart squeezed past West Ranch 54-52.
Valencia and Saugus are tied for first place in the Foothill League standings. The final games of the regular season are Thursday. Valencia plays Canyon and Saugus faces Hart.
In soccer, Elvia Contreras scored the lone goal for the Canyon girls team in a 1-0 win over Saugus. Valencia beat Golden Valley 11-1 and Hart downed West Ranch 1-0.
Canyon and Valencia are tied for first in the Foothill League standings. Saugus drops to third. The Foothill League season ends Thursday.
The Saugus boys knocked off Canyon, the recently crowned Foothill League champs, 1-0. West Ranch beat Hart 2-0 and Valencia shut out Golden Valley 4-0.
In college basketball, The Master’s College women took an early lead and never looked back in a 78-56 win over Concordia.
In college softball, the College of the Canyons scored six runs in the fourth inning and downed Ventura College 7-4. Sarah Hassenfus drove in two runs with a triple in the fourth inning.
The College of the Canyons baseball team hosts Allan Hancock College today at 2 p.m.
