Hart Baseball Even With West Ranch After Foothill Tournament – Santa Clarita Sports Report – March 30, 2018

Hart (7-7, 4-1): 17

Canyon (5-7, 1-4): 8

Hart’s bats came alive this week against Foothill League rivals, with 10 runs on Wednesday against Valencia and 17 Thursday at Canyon.

The Indians scored runs in every inning but the fourth and have the highest scoring offense in the Foothill League through the first five games. Not to mention the home run leader in Cole Roederer.

Los Angeles Dodgers

Well, there goes the hopes for 162-0. Clayton Kershaw pitched a typical gem on Opening Day, but one mistake (a home run by Joe Panik in the fifth inning) proved to be the difference in a 1-0 loss to the Giants.

The Dodger bats need to wake up for the weekend, as just four players picked up hits on Opening Day.

The first Friday night game of the season is tonight with first pitch at 7:10. Johnny Cueto vs Alex Wood. An All-Star first half of the season like last year would do wonders for the Dodgers and Wood.
