The Hart football team, the No. 1 ranked team in the CIF Southern Section Northern Division, needed overtime to win its second game of the season, 55-54, over Chaminade.
Hart quarterback Brady White had another record performance. He tied the school record for touchdown passes with seven. Trent Irwin caught three of those touchdown passes. Davis Koppenhaver caught two.

White also threw for 490 yards, two yards shy of the single-game school record set by Kyle Matter in 1999.
The Valencia football team, the third-ranked team in the Northern Division, won its season opener, 29-20, over Palmdale.
Jay Jay Wilson intercepted two passes and returned one for a touchdown.
The Canyon football team, ranked No. 4 in the Northern Division, shut out Clovis West, 48-0, in its home opener.
Receiver Zach Cuha caught three touchdown passes for Canyon.
The West Ranch football team, ranked No. 7 in the Northern Division, posted an impressive win over Sierra Canyon, 28-10.
The Saugus football team lost to Simi Valley, 31-28, its first loss of the season.
The Golden Valley football team lost to Royal, 28-27, and dropped to 1-1.
The Albert Einstein Academy football team played its first varsity game and lost to Frazier Mountain, 82-22.
The Santa Clarita Christian football team lost to Windward, 22-6, its second loss in a row.
In college football, College of the Canyons lost its season opener to Golden West College, 27-21 in overtime.
In auto racing, Jim Pettit won the Spears SRL Southwest Tour race at Kern County Raceway Park in Bakersfield. It was the 15th SRL Southwest Tour win of his career.
In baseball, the Dodgers lost to the Cincinnati Reds, 3-2, and have a four-game losing streak.
The Dodgers were swept in Cincinnati and went 2-4 on their road trip.
The Dodgers return home to start a series against the Arizona Diamondbacks tonight.
