Hart Football Team Powers Past Burroughs

khts_sportsThe Hart football team beat Burroughs of Burbank, 24-13, behind a big game from back-up running back Tim White.

White rushed for 243 yards and a touchdown. He got the start in place of Dylan Edwards, who sat out because of a shoulder injury.

Sophomore quarterback Connor Wingenroth scored two touchdowns for Hart. His first came on a 43-yard run in the second quarter. He also scored on a 9-yard catch just before halftime.

The Canyon football team will look to make it two wins in a row to start the season against Knight from Lancaster tonight at Canyon High.

Canyon opened with a 42-14 win over Burroughs of Burbank last week.

The West Ranch football team is on the road in search of its third win of the season. The Wildcats take on Eastside in Lancaster tonight.

The Saugus football team plays Buena at College of the Canyons. The Centurions are coming off their first loss of the season to Muir last week.

The Valencia football team has another tough matchup against Chaminade tonight at Valencia High School. The Vikings lost 17-14 in overtime to Sherman Oaks Notre Dame last week.

The Santa Clarita Christian football team is on the road for a game against Vasquez in Acton tonight. Santa Clarita Christian is off to a 1-0 start after shutting out Lucerne Valley, 25-0, last week.

Vasquez is 0-2 after a 41-7 loss to Frazier Mountain.

The College of the Canyons football team travels to play Citrus College on Saturday afternoon.

In college soccer, The Master’s College men shut out Arizona Christian, 7-0, to stay undefeated and improve to 6-0.

Jorge Serrano had a goal and three assists for The Master’s College.
