Hart Football Team Takes On Birmingham On The Road

The Hart football team takes its undefeated record and No. 1 ranking in the CIF Southern Section Northern Division on the road to Birmingham High School tonight.

Hart is coming off a 56-7 win over Ridgeview from Bakersfield.

Birmingham is 3-1 and lost to Sherman Oaks Notre Dame last week.

The Canyon football team gets its shot at Notre Dame tonight.

Canyon, the No. 2 team in the Northern Division, beat Quartz Hill handily, 55-14, last week.

Valencia is home for a game against Santa Monica. The Vikings are coming off a win over Righetti, 34-19, in Santa Maria.

Santa Monica is 2-1 and lost to Mater Dei, 37-0, last week.

Listen to the game between Valencia and Santa Monica tonight on AM 1220, KHTS. Kickoff is at 7.

The West Ranch football teams travels to play Oxnard. The Wildcats lost their first game of the season to Thousand Oaks last week.

Oxnard is looking for its first win of the season.

The Albert Einstein Academy will be in search of its second win of the season on the road against Santa Paula.

In auto racing, the NASCAR Citgo Late Models will be in action at Kern County Raceway Park in Bakersfield on Saturday night.

David Mayhew is looking to win his ninth Late Model race in a row.

The Legends cars, Bandoleros and Mini Dwarfs are also scheduled to race in Bakersfield. The green flag drops at 7.

In baseball, the Dodgers lost to the San Francisco Giants, 3-2. The boys in blue return home tonight to Los Angeles to start the final series of the season against the Colorado Rockies.
