Hart High Grad Joe Kapp Fights CFL Rival Before Grey Cup

Hart High graduate Joe Kapp, famed college, NFL and CFL quarterback, and Angelo Mosca, who played for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the CFL, exchanged blows and heated words during the CFL Alumni Legends Luncheon in Vancouver, Canada, on Friday, two days before the Grey Cup.

Kapp, 73, offered Mosca a flower when the two players were announced before the luncheon crowd. Mosca can be heard saying in the video on YouTube, “Shove it up your a__.”

Mosca, also 73, then takes a swing at Kapp with his cane. Kapp avoids Mosca’s cane and hits Mosca in the head, knocking him off the stage.

Kapp played for the British Columbia Lions in the CFL in addition to quarterbacking the Minnesota Vikings in the NFL, California Golden Bears college team and the Hart High School football team. He graduated from Hart in 1958.

Mosca played defensive tackle for the Tiger-Cats and was a professional wrestler.

About Connie Jones

Connie and her husband, John, moved to the Santa Clarita Valley almost 30 years ago. Living in Santa Clarita for that long is the direct opposite of Connie’s childhood. She was an Army ‘brat’ who moved every two to three years. Consequently, she has lived in many states and even spent three years in Europe. All three of her kids went to Santa Clarita schools. Connie says the best thing about her job at KHTS is that she is never bored. “If I’m not smiling, Carl is sure to ask why, just before giving me a mind-boggling project.” “KHTS AM-1220 is an integral part of our community and I’m glad to be a part of it. Besides, the DJs will take my request to play Shania Twain’s ‘Still the One’ for my wedding anniversary – gotta love that!”
