Hart High Grad Kyle Boller Gets Start At QB For St. Louis Rams

news_sportsHart High graduate Kyle Boller is expected to start at quarterback tonight for the St. Louis Rams in their preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Boller was brought in to back-up Marc Bulger, but Bulger has a broken pinkie finger on his throwing hand. Boller will most likely start the next two preseason games at quarterback for the Rams.

Troy Nolan, a rookie safety for the Houston Texans and a standout at College of the Canyons, had surgery on a broken hand on Monday and will most likely miss the season opener. The Texans next preseason game is against the New Orleans Saints on Saturday.

In auto racing, Bryan Herta Autosport will have another two-car effort at the Firestone Indy Lights race at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma on Sunday.

Felipe Guimaraes, who finished fourth in the Indy Lights race at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course two weeks ago, is making his third start of the season for the team owned by Valencia’s Bryan Herta. Daniel Herrington is coming off a sixth-place finish at Mid-Ohio and is seventh in the Indy Lights standings.

About Connie Jones

Connie and her husband, John, moved to the Santa Clarita Valley almost 30 years ago. Living in Santa Clarita for that long is the direct opposite of Connie’s childhood. She was an Army ‘brat’ who moved every two to three years. Consequently, she has lived in many states and even spent three years in Europe. All three of her kids went to Santa Clarita schools. Connie says the best thing about her job at KHTS is that she is never bored. “If I’m not smiling, Carl is sure to ask why, just before giving me a mind-boggling project.” “KHTS AM-1220 is an integral part of our community and I’m glad to be a part of it. Besides, the DJs will take my request to play Shania Twain’s ‘Still the One’ for my wedding anniversary – gotta love that!”
