Hart High Grad Prepares For Pac-10 Swim Championships

Hart High graduate Rachel Krager is back in Southern California for the Pac-10 women’s swimming championships at the Belmont Plaza Olympic Pool in Long Beach.

The sophomore at Washington State is competing in three events in the Pac-10 championships. Her first race is today in the 500 freestyle.

 

 

“Last year in the 500, that’s what really kicked it off for me,” Krager said. “I feel real good about it this meet.”

Krager will race in the 100 butterfly on Friday and finish up in the mile and 200 butterfly on Saturday. Krager is competing in the 100 butterfly as an exhibtion. She said the mile will be her best event.

Krager said she is enjoying swimming for Washington State.

“The coaching staff is really supportive,” Krager said. “I felt like I fit in. The fact that it’s the Pac-10, we’re constantly trying to better ourselves.”
