Hart High graduate Steve Susdorf made his major league debut as a pinch hitter for the Philadelphia Phillies against the St. Louis Cardinals last night.
He hit into a double play in the seventh inning.
The 2004 Hart High grad was hitting .335 with a home run and 25 RBIs for Triple-A Lehigh Valley this season. He has played six seasons in the minor leagues and is a career .304 hitter.

Hart junior shortstop Nick Valaika was selected to play for the Milwaukee Brewers Area Code Games team.
Valaika was the only high school player from the Santa Clarita Valley to make the Area Code roster.
The Area Code Games, with eight teams made up of the top high school players from across the country, take place in Long Beach starting on Aug. 5.
The Dodgers lost to the visiting Cincinnati Reds, 5-2, and had their six-game winning streak snapped.
On a positive note, Yasiel Puig seems to have found his swing again. He went 2-for-4 and raised his batting average to .379.
Hanley Ramirez continued to swing a hot bat as well. He had two hits and raised his batting average to .384.
Plus the Dodgers are still in first place in the National League West standings, a half-game ahead of the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The Dodgers continue their series against the Reds tonight. Clayton Kershaw starts for the Dodgers. Homer Bailey, the no-hitter artist, gets the nod for the Reds.
