The Hart PONY Mustang baseball team completed a perfect run in the World Series in Burleson, Texas over the weekend.
The Hart team won the Mustang World Series beating the team from Caguas, Puerto Rico, 7-2, in the championship game.
Down 2-0 in the third inning, the Hart team scored four runs in the bottom of the third to take a 4-2 lead. Hart added three more runs in the fourth inning and held the Caguas team scoreless over the final three innings of the game.
Hart beat the South Post Oak team from Houston, 10-0, in the semifinals.
The Hart team went 5-0 in the tournament starting with a 15-5 win over the team from Joliet, Ill., in the first game of pool play on Wednesday.
Hart followed with a 20-0 win over the Manilla Little Rascals from the Phillipines on Thursday and a 12-3 win over the Shinola team from Mexico on Friday.
The Hart team won the fourth Mustang World Series for the Santa Clarita-based PONY complex. The last time Hart won the PONY Mustang World Series was in 2009.

Davis Cop, No. 38, is the starting second baseman and one of the leaders on the team. His coaches say Davis knows the game and executes with skill and domination.
