Hart Softball Team Faces Formidable Foe In CIF Playoffs

The Hart softball team faces Norco in the semifinals of the CIF-Southern Section Division I tournament today. The game is at Norco, as if Norco needed any more help in this one.

Norco has won its three playoff games by a combined score of 15-2. Hart has won its three playoff games by a combined score of 3-0.

Norco has a 24-game winning streak entering the semifinals. Hart has a four-game winning streak.

On the bright side for Hart, Destiny Rodino has been all-but unhittable in playoffs. She has thrown three straight shutouts, given up only three hits in three games, and is coming off a no-hitter against Esperanza in the quarterfinals.

Catcher Jessica Shults has driven in two of Hart’s runs in playoffs. She hit a solo home run in the first round against Trabuco Hills and had an RBI double in the quarterfinal game against Esperanza.
