Canyon wins first game of season.

The Canyon HIgh baseball team won its first game of the season, downing St. Bonaventura, 8-7, in the Easton Tournament.

Pitcher Robert Wright got the win. Patrick Roxbury was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and Donnie Young was 2-for-3 with a double for Canyon (1-5).

Valencia hit four home runs in a 20-10 win over Mission Viejo on Friday. R.J. Mundell, Alex Pitman, Dylan Jones and Christian Lopes hit home runs for Valencia (3-2). Tyler Anderson earned the win on the mound.
