With the Foothill League teams on spring break, Santa Clarita Christian has taken the spotlight and turned in some nice performances across the board.  The Cardinals baseball team defeated L.A. Lutheran for the second time this week.  After a 16-2 win on Tuesday, the Cardinals won 13-2 last night.  Pitcher Brock Heerdt pitched four innings, allowing one hit and striking out seven.

Santa Clarita Christians softball team also picked up a win last night.  The Cardinals defeated Hillcrest, 5-4.  Carly Asher had 14 strikeouts and allowed just five hits for Santa Clarita Christian.

One Foothill League baseball team was in action yesterday.  Golden Valley’s freshman squad defeated Littlerock 12-4.

The Los Angeles Dodgers completed a disappointing three game series in Arizona yesterday with a 4-3 loss.  James Loney hit his first home run of the year for the Dodgers.  The Dodgers return home tomorrow night for a clash of two aces, Brad Penny and San Diego’s Jake Peavy.  The game can be heard live on KHTS at 7:10p.m.
