Spigner homered twice, drove in all three runs, struck out six, and made the game-winning catch on a line-drive right back to the circle to end the game with two runners on as the Valencia Vikings advanced to the Division I softball championship for the second straight year with a 3-2 victory. Senior Madison Shipman was 3-for-4 for the Vikings, and also aided with some well-timed defensive plays. The Vikings will play undefeated Simi Valley, tentatively scheduled for Saturday, at Bill Barber Park in Irvine.
