Jessica Spigner has done it again.  The Valencia Vikings senior pitcher had a performance for the ages in the CIF Southern Section Division I semifinal matchup with Santiago.  Spigner homered twice, drove in all three runs, struck out six, and made the game-winning catch on a line-drive right back to the circle to end the game with two runners on as the Valencia Vikings advanced to the Division I softball championship for the second straight year with a 3-2 victory.  Senior Madison Shipman was 3-for-4 for the Vikings, and also aided with some well-timed defensive plays.  The Vikings will play undefeated Simi Valley, tentatively scheduled for Saturday, at Bill Barber Park in Irvine.

Three COC baseball players were named All-Americans yesterday.  Brian Hernandez, Tyreace House, and Hart graduate Brian Charnock were all elected to the Southern California All-American team.

The Los Angeles Lakers held on for a 93-91 victory over San Antonio to take a 3-1 lead over the Spurs in the Western Conference Finals.  The Lakers return home tomorrow night for game five and a chance to end the series.

The Los Angles Dodgers continued to struggle, falling to the Chicago Cubs 3-1.  The Dodgers look to try and avoid a sweep today, live on KHTS at 4:30pm.
