Hometown Sports Report 1-10-08

College of the Canyons Women’s Basketball won their Western State Conference opener last night, defeating Citrus in Glendora, 105-89.

It’s a big day of rivalries tomorrow for Foothill League foes.  The Hart Indians basketball team will travel to Valencia High for the first meeting between the two schools in 2008.  KHTS will have all of the action, live at 6:15pm.  Saugus and West Ranch will do battle in a game that could determine the early league front-runner, and Canyon and Golden Valley both look for their first league wins of 2008.

The Los Angeles Lakers took it to New Orleans, 109-80, and the clippers fell to Orlando, 113-106.

The Anaheim Ducks knocked off Toronto, 5-0.  The Kings take their crack at the Maple Leafs, live at 7pm tonight on KHTS.
