Week two of Foothill League Basketball got underway on Tuesday night, and the boy’s teams are all stuck together at the top of the standings.  In a game heard live on KHTS, Canyon led from start to finish, beating Hart 67-59.  Valencia ended West Ranch’s winning streak, 79-66, and Saugus kept Golden Valley winless in league, winning by a score of 60-46.  Valencia, Canyon, Saugus and West Ranch are all 2-1 in league play; Hart is 1-2 and Golden Valley 0-3.

In girl’s action, Hart defeated Canyon, 54-47, while Valencia defeated West Ranch, 65-55.

Congratulations to Valencia High School quarterback Graham Wilbert, who has accepted a full athletic scholarship to play for Howard Schnellenberger at Florida Atlantic University.

The Los Angeles Clippers defeated Phoenix, 97-90.

The Anaheim Ducks beat Dallas, 4-2.  The Los Angeles Kings knocked off Edmonton, 3-1.  The Kings take on Calgary this Friday, and the game can be heard live on KHTS following basketball.
