Hometown Sports Report 10-12-07

[view:node_ad=5]In the second of three Foothill League cross country meets, it was all Saugus.  On the girls’ side, the Centurions placed seven runners in the top 10, with Katie Dunn taking the individual victory.  For the boys, Jimmy Kelley of Hart won the individual crown, but his Indians finished second to Saugus. 

 

A quick check of the scoreboard, in girls’ volleyball Valencia beat Saugus 3 games to 1.  Canyon shut out Golden Valley 3 to 0 and Hart beat Saugus 3 to 1.  In girls’ tennis, Hart edged Saugus 10 to 8 and Valencia beat West Ranch and Canyon beat Golden Valley by identical 15 to 3 scores.

 

There’s a full schedule of local football action tonight, as the Foothill League season begins.  Golden Valley plays at Valencia.  West Ranch plays in their first ever Foothill League game against Saugus and KHTS will bring you the Canyon Cowboys playing host to the top-ranked Hart Indians. The pre-game show starts at 7:00, with the kickoff at 7:30.

 

Then on Saturday, Santa Clarita Christian travels to Southlands Christian and the Cougars of COC play at Glendale College.

 

On Sunday, the LA Kings play host to Detroit.  KHTS will bring you all of the action with the pre-game show at 4:30 and the face-off at 5:00.
