Hometown Sports Report 10-18-2007

Lots of Sports Happening in the Santa Clarita Valley.

Image In girls’ golf, the first round of the Newhall Land Cup is in the books and Hart holds the top spot with a team score of 161.  Valencia is in second with a score of 181 and West Ranch is third at 182.  The individual leader is Jasnin Samson of Valencia, who carded a 1 over 37 for nine holes.  2 strokes back was Grace Nam of Golden Valley.  The final round of the Newhall Land Cup will be held today at TPC.

In men’s’ soccer, the Mustangs of Master’s College beat Hope International 3 to 1.

Don’t forget that KHTS will bring you exciting Foothill League football action tomorrow night as the Saugus Centurions host the Valencia Vikings. The pre-game show starts at 7:00, with the kickoff at 7:30.
 
In hockey, the Kings will travel north of the border to take on the Calgary Flames tonight and KHTS will bring you all of the action with the pre-game show at 5:30 and the face-off at 6:00.
