In girls’ golf, the Hart Indians won the Newhall Land Cup with a team score of 323. Valencia finished second with a 345. West Ranch came in third. Jasnin Samson of Valencia was the individual winner as she shot a two day score of 114. Brenna Carlson of Hart came in second, two strokes back and Grace Nam of Golden Valley came in third.
A quick check of the scoreboard, in girls’ volleyball West Ranch beat Canyon 3 games to 2. Valencia shut out Saugus and Hart shut out Golden Valley three games to none. In girls’ tennis, Hart beat Golden Valley 16 to 2. Valencia beat Saugus 13 to 5 and West Ranch beat Canyon 11 to 7.
There’s a full schedule of local football action tonight, with Hart playing at West Ranch. Golden Valley takes on Canyon and KHTS will bring you the Saugus Centurions playing host to the Valencia Vikings. The pre-game show starts at 7:00, with the kickoff at 7:30.
Then on Saturday, Santa Clarita Christian plays host to Faith Baptist and the Cougars of COC play at East LA College.
In hockey, the Kings lost to the Calgary Flames 4 to 3 and travel to Vancouver for a game tonight against the Canucks.
