Hometown Sports Report

In high school tennis, the Lady Vikings of Valencia beat La Crescenta 13 to 5 as their season record improves to 2 – 0. Valencia is currently number 5 in the CIF rankings.

 

[view:node_ad=5]Congratulations to Dakota Luster of Hart High School for being named the Lockheed “Player of the Week”   For his efforts, Lockheed Federal Credit Union will be donating $250 to the Hart High booster club.

 

Mark your calendars, KHTS will bring you exciting high school football action this Friday night as the Valencia Vikings play host to the Birmingham Patriots.  The pre-game show starts at 6:30.  Barry McKeever will have the play-by-play at 7:00, on AM-1220 KHTS.

 

In Baseball, the Lancaster Jethawks were beaten 9 to 2 by the Lake Elsinore Storm in game three of their best of five playoff series.  The Jethawks trail in the series 2 games to 1. The two teams play again tonight in LakeElsinore.

 

The Dodgers return home to open a very important 3 game series against the San Diego Padres tonight.  KHTS will bring you all of the action with the first pitch scheduled for 7:10, preceded by the pre-game show at 6:30.
