The Valencia Vikings Girl’s Tennis team travels to Long Beach Poly today to take on the Jackrabbits in the semifinal round of the CIF Div. III playoffs.  The Vikings would advance to a second consecutive final with a victory.

 

Things heat up on the gridiron this week, as playoff fever hits the Santa Clarita Valley.  First, live on KHTS at 6:30pm tomorrow, Saugus host’s Pacifica in round one of the CIF-SS Northern Division playoffs.  It will also be Saugus night on the Scoreboard Show from Santa Clarita Lanes.  Then, on Saturday morning at 10am, hear all the action as the Foothill League Champion Hart Indians take on Thousand Oaks.  Finally, the Cougars from COC take on Saddleback in the Western State Conference Bowl, live from Cougar Stadium, at 6:30pm.

 

The Los Angeles Lakers defeated Houston, 93-90, behind 30 points from Kobe Bryant.  The Clippers knocked off the Knicks, 84-81.

 

The Cleveland Indians Eric Wedge and the Arizona Diamondbacks Bob Melvin have won the American League and National League Manager of the Year Award’s.

 

The Los Angeles Kings look for payback tonight, as they host the Anaheim Ducks, live at 7pm on KHTS.
