The Valencia Vikings girl’s tennis team lost to Chadwick, 11-7, yesterday in the CIF Div. III Championship game.  This was the Vikings third straight Championship game loss, and second consecutive to Chadwick.

 

Football playoffs in the Santa Clarita Valley come your way this weekend.  Live at 6:30pm Friday night, the Valencia Vikings host Newbury Park.  At 10am Saturday, you can hear Saugus take on Atascadero, and live at 3:30pm Saturday, the College of the Canyons Cougars will travel to Bakersfield, looking for some payback from their loss two weeks ago.

 

The number one college hoops team in the country, UCLA, defeated Maryland, 71-57, last night to advance to the finals of the CBE tournament against 11th ranked Michigan State.

 

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim have traded shortstop Orlando Cabrera and cash to the Chicago White Sox, for former Kennedy High School pitcher Jon Garland.

 

The Los Angeles Kings were shut-out for the second consecutive game, this time 3-0, against the Dallas Stars.  The Kings take on Phoenix, live at 6:00pm, tomorrow on KHTS.
