The College of the Canyons Women’s Volleyball team came up with a historic win this weekend.  The Cougars defeated the state’s top-ranked team, Irvine Valley College, in five sets to advance to the California Community College Athletic Association’s Elite Eight State Tournament for the first time in school history.  The ninth-ranked Cougars defeated Orange Coast College in the first round.

Semifinal action in the CIF-SS Northern Division  comes your way this weekend, and KHTS is the only place to get all of the action LIVE.  On Friday, Foothill League Champion Hart looks to return to the division title game after missing out on last year’s game, when they host Newbury Park at 7pm.  The Indians can also keep their hopes for a state championship game appearance alive with a victory.  Then, on Saturday, the Saugus Centurions look for their first ever appearance in a division title game, when they take on the number one playoff seed, St. Bonaventure.  That game will be LIVE from Ventura County at 7pm.

UCLA forward Alfred Aboya has been cleared to play with a face guard, after fracturing his orbital bone last week.

The Los Angeles Kings take on San Jose LIVE on KHTS at 7pm tomorrow night.
