College of the Canyons Men’s Track and Field coach Lindie Kane has been named Coach of the Year by the California Community College Cross Country and Track Coaches Association.  Kane has been the coach for eleven years at COC, and is also the head coach for the Men’s Cross Country team, where she was named Western State Conference Coach of the Year.  Cougar Alfredo Coronado was also awarded WSC Cross Country Athlete of the Year.

Congratulations to the Santa Clarita Wildcats Mighty Mites and Junior I Navy teams for advancing to the Gold Coast League Super Bowl this Saturday at John Elway Stadium at Granada Hills High School.

 

The top-ranked UCLA Bruin basketball team routed George Washington, 83-60.

 

The Los Angeles Kings defeated San Jose, 3-2, in a shootout.  The Kings take on rival Colorado this Saturday at 7:30pm.
