Hometown Sports Report 11-6-07

Hart wide receiver Brian Felt has been named Lockheed Player of the Week after his incredible performance on Friday night.  Felt had seven receptions for 204 yards and four touchdowns in Hart’s 49-13 victory over Golden Valley.  Congratulations to Brian.  The Indians look for their first Foothill League Championship since 2003 on Friday night, when they take on Saugus at 7pm live on KHTS.  Saugus is looking for their first league title since 1981, when they played in the Golden League.

The number one ranked Hart Indians girls’ golf team finished 14th at the Southern Section finals yesterday, ending the girls’ season.

Hart junior softball pitcher Destiny Rodino has committed to UCLA.  Rodino received a full scholarship to be a Bruin in 2009.

Congratulations to the following SCVAA football teams for advancing through the first round of the playoffs:  The Pee Wee Mohawks; Bantam Tatonkas, Chiefs, and Apaches; and the Junior Seminoles and Aztecs.  The SCVAA Warriors, Castaic Cougars, and Canyon Outlaws will all host the PYFL Superbowl on Saturday, December 1st at Cougar Stadium at College of the Canyons.
