 Congratulations to Valencia High School boy’s soccer player Eric Shannon for being named All-League goalkeeper after his Los Angeles Futbol Club won the Super-Y North American Finals in Tampa, Fl.  The team, which also features Canyon player Robert Freise and Saugus player Shane Wilson, defeated both Real Salt Lake and New York Red Bull’s MLS development academies en route to the title.

KHTS will be part of a rally for the State Champion Saugus Centurions girl’s cross-country team at 4:30pm today, by the fountains at the Westfield Valencia Town Center.

 

The Los Angeles Dodgers officially introduced center-fielder Andruw Jones yesterday, and Jones vowed to rebound from his dismal performance last season.  The Dodgers also have reportedly won the sweepstakes for prized Japanese pitcher Hiroki Kuroda.  Kuroda’s former Japan League manager said he was informed that Kuroda has chosen the Dodgers over SeattleArizona. and

 

The Los Angeles Clippers continue their struggles, losing to the Charlotte Bobcats, 108-103.

 

The Anaheim Ducks lost to Vancouver, 3-2, and the Los Angeles Kings were defeated in Chicago, 6-3.  The Kings look for redemption tonight when they take on Dallas, live on KHTS at 5pm.
