As we enter the Christmas break for Foothill League Basketball teams, the Saugus Centurions (9-2) hold a slim lead over the Golden Valley Grizzlies (7-3) in girl’s varsity action.  Defending league champion Hart (3-5) has struggled in pre-league action, but the Indians are poised to rebound on January 8th, when league games begin.  On the boy’s side, Saugus has been unstoppable (9-0), but don’t pencil in the Centurions as league champions just yet.  Every boy’s varsity team has a win percentage over .500.  Defending league champion Hart (8-3) are second in the league in scoring, behind Canyon (7-3).  The Cowboys two stars, Cody Anderson and Mark Lewis, appear to be running away from the pack for all league honors to this point.  KHTS will bring you all of the boy’s Foothill League action, starting on January 8th, when the Saugus Centurions and Valencia Vikings clash at 6:15pm.

The Los Angeles Lakers were held scoreless over the final four minutes, losing to LeBron James and Cleveland, 94-90.

The Los Angeles Kings look to hit the holiday break with a victory, when they take on Columbus live on KHTS at 3:30p.m.
