The Foothill League can now focus on their spring sports teams.  An optimistic weekend ended in misery on Friday night, as both Valencia boy’s basketball and Hart girl’s soccer were defeated.  The Vikings lost at Arroyo Valley in the quarterfinal round, 71-67.  The Indians girl’s soccer team lost 2-1 to Agoura.

Congratulations to Valencia High guard John Otavka, this week’s Lockheed Player of the Week.

Otavka scored 29 points with six rebounds, three steals and three assists combined in the Vikings win over Fullerton and loss to Arroyo Valley in the quarterfinal round of the CIF Soutern Section Div. IIAA playoffs.  Otavka hit the game winning three point shot with two seconds left to defeat Fullerton.

For his production, Lockheed Federal Credit Union will donate $250.00 to the Valencia High athletics program.
