Former Saugus High basketball head coaches Jeff Hallman and Eric Olsson didn’t stay semi-retired for long.  Both Hallman and Olsson have signed on to assist head coach Chuck Martin at The Masters College.  Olsson and Hallman both played for the Mustangs in the late 70’s and have been friends ever since.

J.J. Holen and the West Ranch golf team continue to impress in the pre-league schedule.  The Wildcats knocked off Quartz Hill 377-409 and Holen once again was a medalist with a 1-under 70 at the Robinson Ranch Mountain Course.

The Los Angeles Lakers came back from a 12-point deficit to defeat Golden State, 123-119 in overtime.

The Los Angeles Dodgers finished their grapefruit league season in a loss to Kansas City, 10-9.  The Dodgers take on Milwaukee today, and then return to Los Angeles to take on Anaheim and Boston before Monday’s Opening Day Matchup with San Francisco.

The Los Angeles Kings take on Anaheim tomorrow, live on KHTS at 6:30.
