Hometown Sports Report 9-6-07

[view:node_ad=5]Both COC’s Men’s and Women’s soccer teams were in action yesterday. The Men’s team faced Taft College and played to a 1 – 1 draw.  The Women’s team didn’t fare as well, as they were beaten 4 to 0 by Fresno City College.

 

Congratulations to John Schegel of Golden Valley High School for being named the Lockheed "Player of the Week". For his efforts, Lockheed Federal Credit Union will be donating $250 to the Golden Valley booster club.

KHTS will bring you exciting high school football action tomorrow night as Hart takes on Moorpark. The pre-game show starts at 7pm. Barry McKeever will have the play-by-play at 7:30, right here on KHTS.

 

ImageIn Baseball, the Oakland A’s beat the Angels 6 to 2.  Even with the loss, the Angels lead the Seattle Mariners in the American League West by 7 and a half games. 

 

The Dodgers lost to the Cubs 8 to 2 last night in Chicago. And with Arizona beating San Diego and moving into first place, the Dodgers are still in the playoff hunt, only 4 games out of first and 3 games out of the wild card. 

 

The Dodgers conclude their series at Wrigley Field this morning with the first pitch scheduled for 11:20.  You can hear the pre-game show at 10:45 on AM-1220 KHTS.
