Jersey Mike’s Holding Fund-Raiser For Popiel Family

The family of Amber Strickhorn Popiel needs your help.

Jersey Mike’s in Canyon Country is having a fund-raiser on Saturday for the Popiel family. She was killed in a car crash in Canyon Country on Sunday.

Popiel and her family were active in the Canyon Country Little League. She was a scorekeeper for her daughter’s softball team and her husband was a volunteer coach. She was a graduate of Canyon High School and worked at Peterson Dean Roofing.

The fund-raiser is from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.

Popiel, 30, was killed when her car crashed into a tree on Soledad Canyon Road near Lost Canyon Road. She was taken to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Her daughter plays for the Royals softball team at Canyon Country Little League. Jersey Mike’s in Canyon Country will donate 25 percent of purchases made on Saturday to the Popiel family.
