Photo Courtesy of Kern County Raceway ParkAll three tracks at KCRP, the one-eighth, quarter-, and half-mile speedways, will have action on Saturday in a total of six different main events!  The first 500 fans through the gates will receive a free Coca Cola hat and the first 200 kids will receive Easter eggs as well.  Two of the eggs will include a “golden ticket” good for a free gift basket.

The NASCAR Pro Late Model races are expected to be a battle of the champions with 2013 Pro Late Model champ Tim Smith squaring off with 2013 CITGO Late Model champ David Mayhew.  The Pro Late Models are some of the fastest cars to race at the speedway and will run a 50 lap contest for $2000 to win.

Rich Delong III will try to extend his winning streak to five as points racing begins for the Street Stocks, while the NASCAR Mini Stock action will be wide open for 2014 without the presence of 2013 champion Billy Lay.

Both the Jr. and Sr. Mini Dwarfs will race on the one-eighth mile speedway for 25 lap races, with Kyleigh Forster and Jerry Flippo kicking off their title defenses respectively.

Perhaps the most highly anticipated event is the debut of the 911 Racing Series, with six local first responder agencies competing against each other in identically prepared Pro 4 Modifieds.   Kern County Sheriffs Office, Kern County Fire, Bakersfield Police Department, Bakersfield Fire Department, Shafter Police Department, and Taft Police Department will do battle on the quarter-mile in a 15 lap race.

Saturday night’s events are just $15 for Adults, $8 for Seniors 65+, Active Military, Children 6-15, and Children 5 and under are free!  A Family Pass for two adults and two seniors or children is $40 (Box office only).  Reserved stadium seats are $20.  Grandstand gates open at 4 p.m. with autographs at 6 p.m. and opening ceremonies at 7 p.m.
