The Championship Races For Kern County Raceway Park Set For Saturday

Dickey’s Barbeque Pit and Fight For Life have partnered with Kern County Raceway Park for the NASCAR CITGO Lubricants Late Model and NASCAR Spec-Mod season finales Saturday, October 26.

 Fueled by Monster Energy, the feature races will take place during the NAPA Auto Parts 150 NASCAR K&N Pro Series, West night.

The championship finales for both divisions in the inagural season of racing the brand-new half-mile speedway will take place Saturday.

Sponsorship from Dickey’s will increase the CITGO Late Model purses to nearly $11,000, with $2,000 going to the winner of the 50 lap contest.  The Modifieds will see a posted purse of almost $5,000 with $1,000 to the winner of the 35 lap race.

The sponsorships are courtesy of the Dickey’s location on Coffee Road in Bakersfield and will also see Fight for Life raising funds for the Kern Cancer Fund in the grandstands.

Racing action will get underway at 5:30 p.m. with the Spec-Mod 35 followed by the CITGO Late Model 50.  At 7:30 p.m., the green flag will fly for the return of the NASCAR K&N Pro Series, West to Bakersfield in the NAPA Auto Parts 150.  235 laps of racing will take place in the biggest race in Bakersfield in eight years and Zambelli Fireworks will light up the night sky after the races.

Tickets are available online now at KernRaceway.com  Tickets are $30 for Adults, $15 for Seniors 65+, Active Military, Children 6-15, and Children 5 and under are free!  Reserved stadium seats are $40.  Grandstand gates will open at 3:30 p.m. with qualifying to follow before the races get underway.
