24 year-old Dustin Brown will represent Western Conference.

Los Angeles Kings forward Dustin Brown has been selected to
play for the Western Conference All-Star squad at the 2009 NHL
All-Star Game at Montreal 's Bell
Centre on Sunday, Jan. 25.

Brown, 24, will be making his first NHL
All-Star Game appearance.  The 6-0, 207-pounder from Ithaca
, N.Y. , leads the Kings with three
game-winning goals.  He also leads the Kings and ranks among the NHL's
league leaders in hits (141 – third in the NHL) and shots on goal (170 – fourth
in the NHL).

Now in his fifth season with the Kings, Brown also ranks
second on the club with 13 goals and 26 points to go along with 40 penalty
minutes through 39 games played this season.

"It's obviously a great honor and I am excited to go and
play in this game and to represent the Kings," said Brown.  "It should be
a lot of fun and I am looking forward to the experience in Montreal

Brown was named the 15th captain in Kings history on Oct.
8.  He's the youngest to ever wear the "C" for the Kings and the only
American-born player to ever receive the honor.  He skated in his 300th
game as a King vs. the New York Rangers on Dec. 17, and he recorded his first
career hat trick and tied a career-high with three points vs. St.
Louis on Dec. 11 (fourth career three-point
game).  He also attempted a season-high 11 shots on goal vs. Edmonton
on Dec. 5 and collected a season-high eight hits vs. Calgary
on Nov. 1.

At the conclusion of the 2007-08 season Brown was selected
as the Kings Most Inspirational Player (Ace Bailey Memorial Award) and Most
Popular Player after leading the Kings and the NHL
with 311 hits and finishing third on the Kings with a career-high 60 points
(33-27=60).  He led the Kings with a career-high 33 goals and tied for
first (with Anze Kopitar) with 12 power-play goals.  He also tied for
first (with Patrick O'Sullivan) with four shootout goals (4-for-8) while
collecting six multi-goal games during the season.

Brown, who agreed to a six-year contract extension with the
Kings on Oct. 26, 2007, was originally selected by the Kings in the first-round
(13th overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft,
Brown has 165 points (78-87=165) and 245 penalty minutes in 308 career games
with the Kings.
