No. 1 Hart Football Team Rallies In 4th Quarter Against Santa Monica

The Hart football team rallied late and beat Santa Monica, 26-14, to remain undefeated.

The Indians, ranked No. 1 in the CIF Southern Section Northern Division, were down 14-0 in the second quarter and trailed in the fourth quarter.

They took their first lead in the game when Chase White returned an interception for a touchdown in the fourth quarter.

Hart quarterback Chase White threw for 288 yards and a touchdown. He also scored two rushing touchdowns.

The Valencia football team lost to Loyola, 39-20, at LA Valley College.

Vikings quarterback Jake Wallace threw for 241 yards and a touchdown.

The Canyon football team shut out Steele Canyon, 28-0, and rebounded from its first loss of the season.

Canyon quarterback Cade Apsay threw for 268 yards and two touchdowns. One touchdown pass went for 72 yards to Liam Cabrera. The Cowboys receiver had six catches for 168 yards.

The Golden Valley football team beat Chatsworth, 47-6, and won its second game of the season.

The Grizzlies were up 20-0 in the first quarter and 33-0 at halftime.

Running back Terry Tamura scored three touchdowns for Golden Valley. He gained 167 yards on 11 carries.

The Saugus football team lost to Camarillo, 10-8. Austin Davenport caught a 42-yard touchdown pass for the Centurions.

The Trinity Classical Academy football team clobbered Ojai Valley, 50-6.

The Santa Clarita Christian football team lost to Viewpoint, 24-14.

The College of the Canyons football team beat Bakersfield, 42-14, and won its fourth game in a row.

The Cougars are 4-1 overall and 2-0 in the National Division, Northern Conference.

In auto racing, Tim Smith won the NASCAR Pro Late Models race at Kern County Raceway Park. He wrapped up the Pro Late Models track championship and won his fourth race of the season.

In baseball, the Dodgers beat Atlanta Braves, 13-6, in Game 3 of the National League Division Series.

Carl Crawford hit a three-run home run and Juan Uribe slammed a two-run shot for the Dodgers. The Dodgers are up two games to one. Game 4 is tonight at Dodger Stadium.
